Our Story
Built by Industry Veterans Who Saw a Better Way
Sagebrush Mineral Group was built by professionals who spent decades inside the oil and gas industry — on both sides of the table. We have run title, negotiated leases, evaluated reserves, and closed acquisitions across fourteen states. Through that experience, we witnessed firsthand how mineral owners were routinely underserved.
Too many buyers use deceptive tactics: sight drafts mailed without solicitation, lowball offers designed to exploit confusion, and brokers who lock up acreage only to resell the contract for profit. We built Sagebrush MG to be the antidote to that model.
As a direct private buyer, we deploy our own capital, perform our own engineering, and handle all title due diligence in-house. There are no middlemen. When we close, we wire funds — never sight drafts. We are an oil and gas-centric investment group, and mineral rights are the foundation of our portfolio because we believe in the long-term value of subsurface energy assets.

Our Core Values
The Principles Behind Every Acquisition
Radical Transparency
Every valuation we present includes the full engineering methodology, production assumptions, and commodity price models. We disclose everything because trust is built through clarity, not obscurity.
Direct Capital, Zero Intermediaries
We fund every acquisition with our own dedicated capital. We never assign contracts and never broker to third parties. Mineral rights are at the center of our investment strategy — when we acquire, they become a core part of our portfolio.
Owner-First Philosophy
We recognize that mineral rights represent generational wealth and family legacy. We approach every conversation with patience, respect, and a genuine desire to help owners make the best decision for their circumstances.
In-House Capabilities
Every Discipline Under One Roof
We maintain full-cycle acquisition capability with decades of combined expertise in petroleum engineering, reservoir geology, oil and gas title law, and land services — eliminating the delays and information loss that come with outsourcing.
Petroleum Engineering
Decline curve analysis, type curve modeling, net present value calculations, and basin-specific production forecasting across all major U.S. plays.
Reservoir Geology
Formation evaluation, stratigraphic analysis, completion design assessment, and identification of behind-pipe potential and undeveloped acreage value.
Title & Legal
Full-chain title examination, mineral ownership verification, curative work, and deal structuring by attorneys with decades of oil and gas experience.
Land & Closing
Division order analysis, lease review, county courthouse research, and turnkey closing coordination through reputable title companies.
What We Acquire
Mineral Rights, Royalty Interests, and Oil & Gas Leases
We evaluate and acquire a range of subsurface energy assets across the continental United States, with concentrated expertise in the Rocky Mountain basins.
Fee Mineral Rights
Full ownership of the mineral estate beneath the surface, including the right to lease and receive royalties.
Overriding Royalties
Non-operating royalty interests carved from the working interest, typically from prior lease assignments.
Non-Participating Royalties
Royalty interests that entitle the holder to production revenue without the right to negotiate leases.
Trust & Estate Interests
Mineral rights held within family trusts, estates, and LLCs requiring sensitive, multi-party coordination.
